I ended up getting a ticket b/c my meter expired :( Come to find out, the testing center in Charlotte was running behind schedule and since every testing center has to start at the exact same time, it made Grayson (and everyone else in Dallas) about 20 minutes behind schedule and thus I got a ticket :( After I dropped off the burrito and made sure Grayson was good on pencils etc ... I decided to run a few errands in Dallas. What I didn't realize is that running those errands would take me close to 3.5 hours!!! That is definitely one HUGE perk of small town life, little to no traffic :)
While I was out, I got a call from Grayson that he was finished with his test ... an hour early!! Before jumping in the car to go pick him up, I ran across this busted water main. The water pressure was so strong it broke through the asphalt! It was kind of neat to look at, but I'm sure wasn't fun for the city to fix.

Before getting Grayson, I decided that I had time for one last pit stop at Sprinkles, one of my favorite cupcakeries. I thought he would need a reward after all his test stress ;) That and I really just love a good cupcake!

After the exam we headed to FW to check into our hotel and get ready for dinner. Grayson made reservations for us at Del Frisco's in downtown FW. This was his favorite restaurant when he lived there and I had never been so we decided it would be the perfect place to celebrate him being finished.

Part of our hotel reservations included a free cocktail and appetizer so we decided to indulge ourselves before heading to dinner. It was so fun and a really great perk to staying at the Worthington.

Breakfast the following morning was just as tasty. Tons of fruit and oatmeal and of course, starbucks. It was so nice to finally have my husband back. We enjoyed catching up, hearing how he thought he did on the exam and planning life past Saturday, since we didn't really do that at all before the exam. It was relaxing and so much fun. We had a little time left before we had to get out of town, so squeezed in a visit with our favorite couple, the Buchanan's, so we could meet their sweet new baby. Our time is never long enough with Dave & Kristen, but we had so much fun catching up, meeting their newest addition and of course, laughing! We are looking forward to visiting them more often now that they are closer and we have TCU football season tickets.
