Guilty Pleasure

I have a confession to make ... a really embarrassing one. I have a new guilty pleasure that I will share with everyone. Are you ready? It's pretty bad ...

The Price of Beauty.
Have any of you seen it? It's Jessica Simpson's newest venture on VH1 where she supposedly tries to determine what "beauty" is according to various cultures. Pah, that's so NOT what it is about. It's basically her, her BFF Kacee and Ken Paves getting to travel the world, go to these cool, exotic places where they experience different spas all while asking a couple of questions to the "Beauty Ambassador" from that location. None of which are very deep or enlightening in my opinion. So far we have been to Paris, France; Ballywood, India; and tribe in Uganda. That has been the best so far.
I don't think I have learned one thing about beauty, no - wait, I take that back. Maybe I learn one lesson per episode, but really, for me to sit there for 30 minutes and not learn more than one thing is sort of a waste of my time. And none of the information is really all that new to me either. Models are anorexic in Paris, knew that. Ballywood is the Indian equivalent of the US's Hollywood, knew that. Fat is beautiful in Uganda, wait ... I didn't know that! That was intersting, I guess.
Regardless, you can bet that I DVR this show every week! I was cracking up last night, literally crying, bent over laughing so hard that Grayson had to ask me what I was watching. If you ever watched Newlyweds with Jessica Simpson and Nick Lache, you will understand. If not, I recommend watching, it's hysterical. This show is sort of like a train wreck, you can't help but stop and stare.
I just thought I would share this guilty pleasure in case you were in the market. Look it up if you have time, but I wouldn't recommend scheduling your life around this show. It's more of a "I've got an extra 20 minutes so I'll fast forward through the commercials and just watch the stuff that looks cool," type of show. It's pretty pathetic, but I'm actually already looking forward to the next episode!

That actually sounds like something I will DVR. 20 minutes, Jessica Simpson- sign me up. Seriously, I loved Newlyweds.

Congrats on the baby pup. She is adorable, let me know if you need bows or tutus for her:) I think you need to give her a Louisiana name. I like "Mimi", "Beignet", "Landry". "Pearl" (as in the Pearl River), "Eve" (like the parade)- just a few to get you started.

Can't wait to hear more about your new girl!
