There's nothing like placing a really low bid on ebay for something that would generally cost a lot of money, only to find out that your low bid wasn't actually "that low". That's what happened this morning. I had been waiting 38 hours and 17 minutes since I placed my bid yesterday, feeling very anxious and hopeful that I would "WIN" this book that I need for book club. Only, I was sadly disappointed when I learned that my steal of a deal of $10 on ebay could have easily been replaced by a $2.79 used book on amazon! Arg, so much for trying to get the best deal.
Oh well, in the scheme of things I didn't have to pay full price, I won't have to drive to Shreveport to pick it up and I should get it in plenty of time to read before book club. All good things in my book (ha, pun intended). So thank you eBay for giving me an emotional roller coster this morning. Nothing like being nervous about whether or not I'm going to win, only to find out I did win and feel excited, to then realize I could have paid less. This eBay thing definitely beats drinking caffeinne any day!
