On Saturday, Grayson and I, and a bunch of the cousins/aunts/uncles etc ... went over to Aunt Helon's house to help her decorate her yard for Christmas. Aunt Helon would hands down win the Best Christmas Decorations Competition, if there were one, but this past year she fell and broke her hip. In an attempt to keep her from climbing on her roof to put up lights, which she is still known to do, we all picked a day to get out there and decorate with her. While our decorations were a little bit less than what she normally does on her own, we still think she would have a good chance of winning the contest.
We made sure to get her decorations up in plenty of time because the famous "Holiday in the Pines" Christmas Parade is this weekend, which is when the town officially unveils all of its Christmas lights. If you didn't know, Jonesboro is known for putting up these lights, they are extremely impressive. But don't worry, we are planning to watch the Frogs dominate New Mexico Saturday afternoon, only to be followed by enjoying the parade festivities directly after. I'll make sure to take pics to show everyone! In the meantime, good luck getting started on all of your holiday decorating!
