To Blog or Not To Blog ... That Is the Question.

I'm usually not the blog slacking type, but lately there hasn't been anything interesting with which to fill this space. I have battled the question as to whether or not I should write about my record time of completing nine loads of laundry in one day? I even considered discussing the eventful trip I took to Walmart where I impulse purchased three rather interesting books, but then I would have felt the need to detail the following eight hours I spent lying in bed on Saturday to start and finish said books. I thought about explaining my new approach at home-making ... create a detailed list of meals to eat for the entire week, including breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, create grocery list, shop away! I considered explaining one option for filling spare time: choose and then layout all outfit selection for the ENTIRE workweek (yes, I did this and yes, it actually helped!)

So, like I said ... to blog or not to blog, obviously I opted NOT!!!

Not that our lives are boring, I guess it's just that when you get older you have responsibilities that keep you living very simple lives. We get up, we go to work, we try to squeeze in something "fun" in the evenings like cooking dinner, tidying up, exercising, only to do the whole thing all over again. Makes for very uninteresting blogs if you ask me. Which is why I decided to revert back to brain dumping, or as I have re-titled it "Blog Ping-Pong". Since I have no great, huge event to discuss, I've opted for a ping-pong match of small, slightly interesting thoughts bouncing around my brain today ...

* I loved the weather this morning. It was approximately 72 degrees. Just cool enough to ride with my windows down for 3 minutes before deciding it wasn't really that cool.
* With Grayson really starting to study for his December exam, it has left me feeling the need for some serious hobbies.
* I have thus started reading fervently again.
* Sometimes my love for reading makes me feel like a nerd and an isolate.
* Not enough to keep me from reading for 13 hours in one weekend though.
* Speaking of reading, everyone should go out right now and purchase a Karen Kingsbury book. I can't think of the series, but they were very good, encouraging and a challenge to aim to make our family similar the characters in her books.
* I'm currently reading Julie & Julia, not a huge fan. I only started it because I want to see the movie.
* It'll probably be another 2 weeks before we make it to the movies and when we do, we're seeing Harry Potter.
* My rear-end is sore from spin class last night.
* Now that could be a fun hobby. Nothing is better than mixing hip-hop dance music, black lights, spandex shorts and exercise. Hopefully this'll be a hobby I carry into the fall.
* I ate a honeybun for breakfast.
* I bought colored pens the other day and it was the highlight of my week.
* We need a vacation!
* Wait, we're getting a mini one this weekend. We're off to NOLA for the Saints pre-game match against the Bengals.
* It's not the game I'm most excited about, rather it's the manicure, beignets and people watching in the French Quarter I'm looking forward to.
* It feels good to know that we have prioritized coming home Saturday evening just so we can make it to Sunday school. We've really found a home at our church; it's nice to want to be at church.
* I hope I can relax and enjoy this slow pace for a little while longer because I know once the fall hits, we'll be off and running again.
* It really doesn't hurt to lead a simple life.
