So there's nothing really new to report, we've been in town a lot lately which means we are leading pretty normal-to-boring lives. Since we've been staying in town more often and Grayson and I get plenty of quality time together during the week, I decided to make a little extra "fun money" this past Saturday while Grayson was at work.
I signed up to proctor the Praxis exam @ Tech for lots of nervous, graduating education majors. Since I was already up in Ruston (at 7am thank you!) and done with work by noon, I decided to make the best of it by spending my newly earned money in Shreveport! We're going on a cruise in June and so I figured I'd shop for some cruise friendly clothes. While out shopping, I ran across this new slogan at Ann Taylor Loft, "Are you an ANN?" Why yes, I am an Ann (my middle name is Ann).
There's no telling what the other customers were thinking when they saw my flash go off while in the dressing room. Oh well, I'm always thinking of blog friendly photos.
Since I was going to be in Shreveport for most of Saturday, Grayson decided to help me out with my drive time so he rented us a hotel room in Ruston. This literally cut down on at least an hour of drive time for me and it made for a fun weekend. We decided to treat ourselves to a "staycation type date" in Ruston so we ate at Chili's, got some dessert at TCBY and ran to Lowe's. While at Lowe's, we ran across this curtain that we almost bought for our kitchen. I thought it was funny that we liked it before we even saw that it is called "Grayson".
Then when we were heading "home" to our hotel, there was a car checking in and it had this label on it, "TC". I couldn't get over how in one day I saw so many signs that had the names of our little family. Silly, I know, but I told you, we are currently leading normal-to-boring lives, so take what you can get.
And finally, our house has been very cheery lately with the fresh roses that are growing outside. Don't get the wrong impression here - I do not grow them, they were planted years ago and just seem to thrive really well on their own. We definitely take advantage of them though by cutting them and using them for decoration. I've found that there is something very charming, quaint and southern about home grown fresh flowers. Makes me love springtime evern more!

I loved your post, Ashley!! Where are you all going on your cruise? We're going on one to Alaska in August, and I can't wait. Cruises are addicting... =)
