Strawberry Cupcakes...yummy!

So for Valentine's Day I decided to become Betty Crocker for the night and make some cupcakes for each of us to take to work. I have no idea what came over me, but I embraced it and enjoyed making these goodies for valentines. In addition, Grayson and I addressed pixy-stix valentine's to take to our co-workers the next day. It wasn't anything like the shoebox decorating contest I remember making for the 2nd grade valentine's competition, but it was still fun.
I suppose my inspiration came from some cute cupcake wrappers I found in Walmart. After that I decided to go "all out". I used strawberry cake mix and icing and then used four different types of sprinkles. It was very tempting to eat them while working on them, but thanks to my accountant husband, he doled out the exact amounts of cake dough required for each of us to take to work. Maybe next time I'll squeeze in a few extras for my personal enjoyment!

Who needs a cupcakery when you can do it yourself? Okay, just kidding. Mine didn't taste anywhere near as good as the ones in West Monroe.
The whole spread.

For our valentine's we ended up cleaning our horrendously dirty house and then afterward decided to treat ourselves to dinner at Chili's and a viewing of "He's just not that into you". I definitely recommend this movie. It was funny, cute and not too overly cheesy. Overall, we had a great valentine's and definitely enjoyed ourselves. I hope you did too.
