I love my job! While I won't get out in the summer time like most people think, I do receive some great benefits related to other student holidays. For instance, Mardi Gras break. Growing up in San Antonio we celebrated Fiesta like it was Mexican Mardi Gras, so I completely understand all about taking vacation to have a good time. And this year I fully intend to take advantage of my two days away from work to head back to San Antonio (not New Orleans) to make a quick visit.

for dinner one night. The closest one to us is in Shreveport and for some reason I've been craving their bread lately. My mom already told me she will indulge this desire :)
I also intend to go to Ulta, DSW, see my sister-in-law's belly one last time before Baby Easton arrives, check out the nursery pre-baby, purchase a pinata for my birthday and do some other fun things that can only be done in San Antonio. Unfortunately, Grayson doesn't get off for Mardi Gras break, something about people still needing to conduct bank business even though it's a holiday??? That's weird ... so I'll just have to make sure I have a good enough time for the two of us.
On a side note, two more babies have been born or are being born as we speak. Anna Leigh Gage was born to Lauren and Andy Gage in Denver, CO on 2/18/09. I can't wait to see pics, I hear she's gorgeous. And baby Carter Anderson is on his way as well. I can't wait to hear from Julie and Jerry and little G on his progress. Happy Mardi Gras weekend everyone!
