8 Weeks and counting!

Last weekend we got to celebrate the upcoming wedding of Dave & Kristen by attending a couple's shower for them in Fort Worth. It had been a long time since our last visit, so we were extremely thankful for an excuse to head back to Texas. It was one of the nicest showers we have ever attended, the hostesses did such a phenomenal job of honoring Dave & Kristen. We had so much fun catching up with G's old roommate, Aaron and also Dan. We mostly hung out with this crew for the evening.
The food was delicious. I'm pretty sure our table made a total of about 14 trips to the buffet to get more food throughout the night. Dan & Aaron definitely kept us entertained for the majority of the evening. Thanks guys! We look forward to the same thing at the wedding.
The flower arrangements were so beautiful!
Kristen asked that everyone bring unwrapped gifts so that she and Dave would have more time to visit, rather than open gifts. It was so fun to see what they registered for and to envision all of these gifts in their new home. It was great to see a little part of their new life.
Grayson and I are super excited for the next 8 weeks to fly by. We can hardly wait for Dave & Kristen's wedding. It is such a blessing to be involved in the joining of two Godly people. Dave & Kristen will definitely be better together than they are apart, just as God intends for a marriage to become. We are definitely enjoying watching them as they take small steps each day that will get them closer to their wedding day. This shower was amazing and we can hardly wait for their wedding day!
