Quotes from Marriage

Scene: It's Thursday evening in the Allen family kitchen. After eating a light, healthy dinner of grilled tilapia, asparagus and salad, Grayson and Ashley both realize that they still feel famished and must have a bowl of cereal before retiring to bed. The true reason for this "need" to eat more is that Grayson and Ashley earlier went grocery shopping and bought 3, yes 3, family-size economy bags of cereal. You know the ones I'm talking about. The large, rather awkward bags that are beneath the name-brand cereal, generally meant for families of 4 or more. Being a family of two we purchase them because they are of course cheaper and therefore the smarter purchase. But, I digressed.

After pouring a bowl of "Lucky Mallows" (ie: Lucky Charms) Ashley realizes her marshmallow to oat ratio is quite poor. Upon glancing over into Grayson's bowl, Ashley also realizes that Grayson's marshmallow ratio is much higher and therefore much better. She determines to increase her ratio without having to pour another bowl of cereal. The scene unfolds as follows ...

Ashley: Hey, you have more marshmallows than me.
Grayson: (After glancing into her bowl.) Yep, I sure do.

Ashley: Well, do you want me to even out the numbers for you?
Grayson: (As he scoops mounds of delicious mallows into Ashley's bowl, thereby greatly decreasing his mallow ratio.) Never forget how much I love you.

Now that my friends, is true love!

I love it - so cute! And George and I definitely share the guilty cereal before bed on occasion. Just another benefit to being an adult! :)
