Happy Hour.

There are many reasons why I love Sonic Happy Hour. I find myself on most days staring at the clock waiting for it to strike 2pm. I actually believe that my mouth begins to salivate around 1:55pm just because my brain knows that in less than 5 minutes I will receive a treat. Not just any treat, rather a great deliciously quenching, send your resting heart rate into the 90's kind of treat.

In case you haven't gathered by now, I am a very goal oriented person. I do well with the whole rewards-incentive-behavior modification system. One of the main reasons I burn through my work is to receive a prize at 2pm each day. There's nothing like great motivation to help a girl get through the day! Not to mention Sonic must have like triple the amount of caffeinne in their drinks because talk about a quick adrenaline rush! There's nothing like a quick fix to help the last few hours of the day speed by.

I will say, the caffeinne fix is not the only reason why I love Sonic. For those of you who haven't become aware of Sonic's Goodness, let me share some of the little secrets hidden within this treasure.

1. They have funny commercials. I am a "laugh-out-loud-while watching tv by myself" person anyways, but these commercials generally have me bent over in stitches, calling for Grayson to come in and watch too.

2. Half-price anything is amazing. And delicious drinks at that, are you kidding me? This is a budgeting woman's fantasy.

3. They serve Diet Dr. Pepper. And for anyone who loves Diet DP will know this is extremely rare, unless you live in Waco, Tx.

4. They add vanilla syrup and we all know that vanilla added to anything is deelish!

5. You can receive a $10 gift card and turn it into 10 entire drinks. Get a different one everytime and it makes it all the more fun. And $10 for a gift is fairly reasonable.

6. It is located all over! Lucky for me, I'm only a 3 minute drive away (in Ruston and in Jonesboro).

If these reasons alone don't force you to walk out the door right now to run to your local Sonic, I don't know what will. And hopefully you too will embibe with me in these wonderfully tasty delights Mon-Fri from 2-4pm.
