Hair Length Update

Normally, I loathe self-takes, but I wanted to show everyone how long my hair is getting. Please forgive the tired and drained expression ... work has been slightly exhausting lately.

As far as my hair goes, it has become a real nuisance around our house lately. We seem to find thousands of great potential wig strands going to waste in the shower, in the bed, in my car, on the floor etc ... It's really quite sad that all those annoying loose pieces won't be donated in a few weeks.

Overall, both Grayson and I am ready for the chop! The prep time has begun to take longer, which means I generally wear it curly. The blow drying process has also lengthened, which means I now go to bed with it wet. The styling process also takes longer, which is why I don't straighten it unless there is a fancy occasion (so consider yourself lucky if you see me w/ straight hair!). In actuality, Grayson is probably more ready than I am to cut my hair. He's always been disgusted by loose strands of hair and until now mine didn't bother him. Key phrase in that sentence being ... until now! He's really tired of finding it everywhere and so he's helping me decide on great short styles. I'm trying to not get too attached to the length seeing as how it will be gone soon. If anyone out there has any ideas of short cuts, I'm all ears. We're looking at 2 weeks and counting until donation day :)

Have fun picking out new styles and cutting your hair. I recently cut off 4 1/2" which was a little devastating... but, I told my stylist that I had to be able to wear it up for a wedding in August!! But, it's so nice not to have our shower drain as clogged anymore. Ha! =)

ash, you look beautiful! i love the long locs on you but am so proud for the donation. matthew's sister was one of those that benefited from donated hair when she was younger. you'll make a big impact on someone's life which will be well worth the hassle and loose strands! and short hair will look great on you as well.

Ash,
You will be beautiful no matter what length your hair is...so go for it...I have been letting my hair grow with the idea that I would have more choices of styles for Natalee's wedding, but I am about to cut it and just not worry with it...you are so right about the time it takes to blow dry and curl...wow, too much time!!!I am also proud of you for donating it...someone will be very proud of their "new" hair.
