This past weekend I was blessed with the opportunity to have a Greene Girls Reunion (minus Lo) in Canton, Tx. After months of checking our calendars and finding a day that worked for everyone, we finally made the reunion happen. There wasn't a more fun way to catch up than with some serious retail therapy!
.
We found some great deals including furniture for our homes, Scripture for the walls, great smelling candles, Mother's Day gifts and much more. Sara was lucky enough to find "the" perfect gift for an upcoming birthday. A teacup dish screwed onto a large wooden pole must be a bird feeder - only in Texas would you find something this creative. The day was gorgeous with perfect shopping weather. We really were troopers too, we lasted for 6 hours straight!
.
The best part of the entire day wasn't shopping though. It was finally getting to reconnect over great Mexican food. There's something to be said for one-on-one connection. We each gave ourselves 30 minutes to share the highlights and get great feedback as well. It was difficult to say good-bye, but we knew we had to. Now that we are "grown-ups" we each have families to get back to, responsibilities to tend to which keep us from spending hours on end fellowshiping, like we used to in the Greene house. Even still, we were each extremely thankful for the time we were given. It was so refreshing, I can hardly wait for the next one (this time we will make it complete w/ Little Lo though!)
My feet really hurt. Not to mention I bumped into at least 5 people w/ that dang board. It was quite embarrasing how awkward I was carrying it.
Megan was definitely overwhelmed w/ all of her bags. Her horned frog almost caused some serious leg injuries too!
Please note the stick wrapped in a bag ... obviously the bird feeder!
SB and I looking around for great deals!
Still alive and all smiles after a wonderful time!
