Lake Weekends

This summer is the first summer that Grayson and I have really been able to get away and head down to enjoy Caney Lake. We went four weekends in a row during June! That is seriously a record for us and something we intend to continue once Kathy & Chuck officially move out there. The first weekend we had fantastic company when Winston's girlfriend Maddie and her sister Colleen came into town. We tubed and tubed and tubed some more. My neck hasn't been that sore in probably two years ... totally worth it!

The next weekend, we got to host The Museum who happened to be playing at a camp in Ruston. We squeezed in as much fun as possible in 3.5 hours. The other two lake weekends were spent tanning & floating with family in town. It has been so great to be back out on the water as it brings back so many childhood memories of my time spent on Lake LBJ. I haven't attempted to ski yet for fear that I may have lost some of my "technique". One of these weekends I'm planning to get out there and see if I can even get up anymore! I'm sure we'll make a few more appearances on Caney throughout the summer, but we are most looking forward to sending Madalyn off with a bang at her going away party at the end of the summer.
