Grayson's big exam that he had been preparing for during the last "year" (ie: four months) came and went. We headed down to New Orleans the first weekend of June for him to sit for level two of the CFA. He was a trooper and really set his mind to focusing and preparing for his exam while I made full use of Winston's amazing apartment and all of its amenities. While Grayson was busy reviewing formulas and ethic laws, I was busy enjoying a couple of nice, long workouts, laying by the pool and reading a book! We ordered pizza from Reginelli's and I watched tv and went window shopping. It really was a great vacation ... for me.
Grayson on the other hand, was not nervous necessarily, but definitely pre-occupied. The only other time I've seen him behave so strangely was on the day that he proposed to me. Stuff like not being able to drive or respond to sentences normally, all because his brain was focused on something else. In this case, he was focused on retaining everything for the exam.
When he finished we decided to celebrate! And by celebrate I mean eat dinner at the Harrah's buffet, walk around Bourbon Street and wind up fast asleep by 11pm (so much for celebrating)! We get the results at the end of July and are hopeful that he passed. Either way, he did excellent in my book and I couldn't be more proud. I fully intend to cook him a fancy meal which I'll probably blog about since it will probably be interesting. Stay tuned!
