Thanksgiving ... in reverse!

You'll have to forgive my laziness today, I'm taking the easy route when it comes to the blog and not rearranging the pics. I'm just glad these pics are going up, regardless of their order. While checking out everyone elses blogs, I realized it has a) been way too long since my last post and b) that the last post was sad and I didn't want ya'll thinking our entire Thanksgiving break was sad because it wasn't! In fact, it was quite the opposite, we had a great time and made lots of memories and are already looking forward to visiting again.

While in San Antonio, we were able to squeeze in a mini buddies reunion. I was shocked that between all of our schedules, babies and family that we were able to meet for as long as we did. I'm already looking forward to the real reunion in December. Here are Jules and baby Joy and then Kathryn and baby Kimber. Such sweet girls and amazing babies!Kimber is as sweet and laid back as can be. She let me hold her the entire time and was content being mellow, checking everything out.

And Joy kept me entertained the entire time, big surprise. She was hysterical making all sorts of faces and screams, she definitely has her parent's outgoing, friendly personalities. It was so fun getting to see those babes!
Here's another little guy I loved seeing. We got to read a little, play a little and mostly hang out and have fun.
We were supposed to take family pictures over the break, but our photographer flaked out on us so we did impromptu, self-take family photos. Here are Meho, Easton and Erin.
The whole Pedroza/Allen clan.
Grayson and me with our stockings. And yes, my mom is awesome and sewed them herself.
I should mention that whenever we spend our Thanksgiving in San Antonio, we always do Thanksgiving, then Christmas and wrap it all up celebrating Grayson's birthday. Basically, we cram as many events into the fewest days possible to make sure no one misses out on not being together on the actual event. This year, Santa brought Easton some luggage. It was so cute and big enough that he could literally have fit into if need be. He showed us that he is big enough to push it around all by himself! He was so proud of himself.
Here we are (later that day) celebrating Uncle Grayson's 30th birthday! Yep, I said it, Grayson is turning 30 this year. No comment.
Okay (I hate that these are out of order, but maybe that will help me be less OCD?) Whatever.
So I asked for some random gifts this year. One of them being a vanity stool for our bathroom. The lady who lived in our house before us had one in there and it looked so cool, but I just couldn't find what I liked ... until I realized that we could make our own! We turned this gift into a family project b/c neither Grayson nor I are very handy, yet my mom and brother are! SCORE! We took advantage and made this a "fun family project" that all were allowed to help out with. My mom got the fabric just right, Matthew came in with all his engineering skills and put the chair together and we basically supervised. The fabric matches what we used in our master bedroom (see belows).
The bolster pillow was another gift I asked for for Christmas. Instead of having a "professional" sew our curtains and pillows, my mom did them. She could be a professional if she wanted which is why we always ask for her help. She did our curtains and two pillows almost a year ago, but we weren't quite sure about the bolster. I was tired of not having one so we decided (again) to turn this into a family project which was actually really fun. Thankfully, our bedroom is almost done, I just need to get some tiebacks for those curtains.
Back to San Antonio ... here's the whole fam celebrating Thanksgiving.Grayson and my mom supporting good ole JSB.
The spread ... and my parents recently redecorated dining room!

It was a whirlwind of a Thanksgiving full of happy times and a little sad one. It was great to spend wonderful quality time doing nothing, running errands, working on projects, watching football, cooking together and relaxing. Trips to San Antonio are always so fun, we can't wait to go back!
