TCU Homecoming.

We were able to make it back to Fort Worth for Homecoming this year. When we thought about it, we have only missed a couple since we graduated and so it has sort of become a fun tradition to head back to Cowtown to meet up with good friends each fall. With so many people living all over the place these days, it makes it easy to plan a get together that we can look forward to each year.
A lot has changed since we graduated from college. One thing being sweet Lia. She came to the TCU parade blinged out in her awesome TCU onesie. She was born a few months ago and this was my first time to meet her. She was a gem the entire weekend and never fussed once! She has the sweetest temperament and was so laid back. It was surreal to meet her and see so much of Lauren and Josh in her.

Lauren was one of my college roommates and is still one of my best friends. It was so great to see her and her husband Josh and to watch them parent this sweet expansion to their family.
So I remember the TCU parade being way better than it was this year. Is that just me having selective memory or has the parade gotten way worse over time? Either way, the kiddos had a blast. The "floats" (if that's what you want to call people standing in undecorated trailers) threw tons of Mardi Gras beads, a little candy and clapped as they walked by. We did get to see some firetrucks, SuperFrog and a few other cool things. We weren't sad when the parade ended b/c that meant we could head over to the bouncy houses and go grab dinner.
We headed to Fuzzy's Taco Shop, one of my faves. It really wasn't that popular when I was in school, but now it's THE place to be on campus. It was crowded, but totally worth it. They have the best breakfast burritos around and lots of different beers on tap. When I was in school we lived within walking distance to this place so it brought back lots of great memories for me.Me and Meg enjoying Fuzzy's and some great time catching up with each other. The next day the weather wasn't so hot so after a short morning run, we all decided to grab a pedicure for some relaxation. Josh and Grayson even got one! They actually enjoyed it and said they had a lot of fun. Lauren and Josh enjoying the game and some adult time w/o the baby.
Here we are cheering on the Frogs. We are slightly obsessed with Horned Frog football so to get to see the team in action was so fun! We've already decided we're going to a bowl game this year, especially if they make it to the National Championship (but that's a whole other topic).
Here are 3/4 of the Greene Girls. SB had to take her little one home to get some good sleep. It's so great that we have all kept in touch after all these years through all of the changes life has brought our way.
Coop got a little tired toward the end of the game. Hey, who can blame the kid? It was 10pm and cold outside, I wanted to be in bed too! We also ran into our great San Antonio friend and one of Grayson's old roommates, Ben. It was great timing and we were lucky enough to end up spending the rest of the night hanging out with him and catching up.
Grayson and Coop get along really well, they always have, even since Coop was a baby.
The next morning, after we all got a good night's rest, we met up one last time at Dutch's, a new amazing hamburger joint near campus. We took Brinley with us this trip too and Cooper (and all the other kiddos) had a blast playing with her. She does great with kids b/c her temperament is so mellow so it's easy for her to go with the flow.
Grayson and Coop again, two peas in a pod!
Me and Coop sitting outside of Dutch's playing with Brinley.
The last picture of the weekend before we each headed our separate ways.
I feel like the pictures don't do justice to everything we did this weekend. We were also able to catch up with Whitney & Livy Anne a few times over the weekend and enjoyed spending time with them. We also spent time with SB and her sweet baby O. There is just so much to do when you come into town and so little time that we did our best to squeeze everything in to a short 72 hours. We are already looking forward to our reunion next year, possibly at a new destination.

Outing the "man" pedi's is going to start a movement. Spa days are no longer just for the ladies. I can't wait for the next visit. It was so fun to be together!! Thanks for loving us and Lia so well.
