I am coming to the blog for some advice this morning. I need some cleaning advice. Specifically, cleaning the bathroom. I hate, no loathe, cleaning the bathroom. The only problem is that my husband loathes it more than me which means I get grossed out by it faster and thus end up cleaning it.
My request is a simple one, what do you use/do to keep your bathrooms clean? Our master bath is not huge by anymeans. We have regular tile floors, a tub, a shower stall, toilet, countertops and mirror. So nothing too crazy, but my dilema is that I don't know the most efficient way to clean or what product I should be using.
For the floors, I get that I need to vacuum first and then mop. This isn't too hard, but what cleaner should I use when mopping? Next, for countertops and shower stall -- what should I use to get rid of water spots? How often should I be deep cleaning the bathroom? I've been doing it once a week, is this overkill or not enough? Is it an unrealistic expectation to think once I clean the waterspots that they should stay away? Probably, huh?
Oh and I know I've probably made our house sound like it's filthy, and well ... for the most part it isn't. At least not when we have company! haha ... please send advice!

is that your shower? it is gorgeous!!!!
Bathroom cleaning... not fun. But we do what we have to do. For the floors-"Murphy's", the tile-"Soft Scrub", clorox wipes for all counter tops etc. The glass is a battle. Get it super clean with windex and then apply "Rain X" (what you use on the car windshield). It will make water just bead up. Then you can squeegy after each shower. It will stay clear and you can skip a few weeks of glass cleaning.
Good luck!
scrubbing bubbles... it is more expensive, but man it works! with minimal scrubbing. i use it on the bathtub and sink... and sometimes on the floor, to (after vacuuming, of course!) once a week sounds good to me.
i missed an "o" in "too"... and its a pet peeve of mine... so sorry and embarrassing!
Best advice I ever got was to clean the bathroom immediately after I shower (I use really hot water!!), and the bathroom is sort of steamed up and everything is "softened." I like a little something with bleach for inside shower to ward off mildew. I use Mr. Clean or Lysol cleaner for floors (can actually use a little less than directions so there's not film to catch dirt).
