Merry Christmas from the Allen's!
Let me take you on a little tour of the halls that we decked for this CHRISTmas season.
We never did outside lights at our previous house, not really sure why, but we didn't. So this year, we determined to get involved in the spirit of Christmas decorating. It involved moving the ladder (often), tying a ski rope through Grayson's belt loops, me basically belaying him to do the front perch and then him practicing his gymnastics balance beam skills on the next highest peak. We made a few more neighborhood friends as they drove by and told us we were crazy.
Oh well ... aren't they pretty?
Our backdoor is more festive than our front because most people just use the back door to come inside. Fine by us!
Every home needs some mistletoe! I love that Grayson pulls me by my arm most every night so that I'm located directly beneath it. Hasn't gotten old yet :)
Due to our two couches in the living room, we opted for the Christmas tree in the dining room. I actually really like it in there and you can still see it from the street. Please, ignore the lack of gifts beneath the tree.
My new tree in the living room. I almost had Grayson convinced that we had this tree last year. I decided since we finally have a mantle to put up our Willow Tree nativity scene that I would get a new matching tree. Every year since we have been married I have collected the Willow Tree Demdaco angel ornament for that year. The series started in 2006 so I have all of them so far. The tree colors coordinate with the ornaments. My goal is to have this tree covered in Demdaco angels one day, it'll be just mine and Grayson's tree.

Thanks for the tour!! Love it!!
Lights look AWESOME, Clark. Love the classic outline look. Although I do have to say Ashley, I was laughing that you both thought if Grayson fell off the roof that a rope tied through a belt loop would save him! Thats great.
i love the decorations! the house looks great. did I tell you that Ben (lauren's husband) did fall down and broke his arm in two places???? If not, next time we talk it's coming up!
Your lights are beautiful. I like it all...the mantel, the back door, your trees. You & G did great!
