To Wear or Not to Wear?

According to recent magazines and online sites, I've learned that

"Tights and peep toes are the year's new It couple," declares the ShopBop website. Going totally against the grain, one of the biggest footwear fashion crazes is pairing opaque tights or textured stockings with open-toe shoes. That which was once a serious fashion faux pas is now all the rage!

So I attempted to go for "IT" this morning, only to feel weird putting on my dark black tights to see them glaring at me through the toe of my grey print peep toes. It was almost as if my toes were screaming "NO! Don't do it, don't expose us to the world." Grayson said he would go for it, but I wimped out, opting for the safe ballet slippers instead.

It really does make sense and I'm glad people are going for it, I just don't know if I can get past that voice in my head telling me, "Uh uh Ashley, you don't wear hosiery with open toed shoes."

So tell me, would you go for it and should I?

Ah! I was just thinking about this for an upcoming wedding in KC. I was thinking no too. But maybe I should try it! Great post!

I'm thinking no too...the idea just reminds me of a little old lady wearing their stockings with sandals.

I don't think i'm quite there yet, but a very informed and relevant post Pedroza-Allen! However, a few weeks ago I caved and bought my first pair of skinny jeans, ONLY for the purposes of tucking into boots. But then today, I caught myself thinking "you know these skinny jeans could be great with the right pair of heels". so I'm sure that tights and peep-toes are right around the corner for me.
