tv junkie (spoiler alert!)

Okay, I am forced to post this blog quickly. So here are my random thoughts ... if you haven't watched Grey's yet, stop reading now!

Did anyone else watch Grey's Anatomy last night? We haven't watched any of this season and all of a sudden I decided to flip it on last night while cooking/eating dinner, folding laundry and attempting to pack. Holy Moly! I can't believe George died! What was with the 007 thing? Did I miss something there? Obviously. When did he get dubbed as James Bond? Secondly, I'm not so sure that I believe that Izzy really died. I think she will end up fighting for her life which means she'll come back next season, leaving George with L-vat guy in "heaven" so they can return as ghosts in future episodes. Also, a very lame marriage ceremony between Meredith and McDreamy. Very anticlimactic, yet very appropriate for their relationship. We fully intend to order season 5 when it becomes available on Netflix and catch up on everything we missed this year.

Next, I'm very excited to watch Dancing with the Stars next week. I really hope Melissa pulls off the win. Granted, we've only watched approximately 4 shows this season and I haven't really seen any of the top 3 competitors dance lately, but we're still rooting for her to win. With everything that she went through on the Bachelor, we really want her to redeem her tv celebrity status and get the trophy.

Speaking of the Bachelor, I swore that I would not watch Jillian on the Bachelorette, but I seem to already be sucked in to watching this tv train wreck. Neither of us were all that impressed with her during the Bachelor, but for some reason I can't seem to think of anything else to do this Monday night than watch the season premiere. I secretly hope it will be a flop so that I won't be sucked in for the whole summer and thus will fill my time with more productive activities.

Lastly, did anyone watch Wipe Out or the Japanese Game Show last summer? They were horrible, yet somehow awesome at the same time. Maybe I'll be found sitting on the couch, jaw open watching one of these this summer as well.

It seems as though our tv watching comes in spurts ... we get really excited about the beginning of a show, attempt to be there each week at the designated time, and yet fail somewhere along the way b/c we get caught up living life, only to return the last week and watch the season finale. Recently this pattern has started involving the ordering of that show via Netflix to catch it in its' entirety.

So, can you tell that Grayson will be gone for two weeks at banking school? I seem to be in denial that I will be home with not much to do, therefore I'm probably subconsciously planning to fill my free time with tv that will rot my brain away. It's either that or tackle my ever-so-exciting list of "honey-do's" which currently includes: organizing the guest bedroom closet, organizing the bathroom closet, deep cleaning the floors in every room and then potentially rearranging furniture for fun. Not exactly my idea of a "fun time" if you ask me. I'm sure the next 2 weeks will fly by, starting with our fun filled weekend adventure in New Orleans starting today! We'll be off to our second graduation, this time for Natalee getting her doctorate in audiology! More pics to come next week and probably more frequent updates about life.

Sad that I know this, but 007 was George's nickname from one of the first episodes. I can't remember exactly, but it has something to do with being bad luck around patients ... like all of his patients were dying or something. Not sure what that has to do with James Bond, but I'm sure it made sense during that episode. The other characters have continued to refer to him by that nickname throughout the show. Hope that helps :)

Yeah, not to crazy about the post-it note wedding. I have a feeling that the note may turn up missing down the road.

Yes, George was referred to OO7 when he had a patient that died from a simple appendectomy in one of the first episodes. I thought he looked a little creepy in his army outfit at the end... I was guessing that both George and Izzy are definitely gone now. Maybe not! And, the Bachelorette is coming. I guess there's two guys from KS in this one... I'm sure we'll watch, too!
