Last weekend we had the opportunity to go to New Orleans to watch Natalee graduate with her doctorate in audiology from the LSU health & science center. The ceremony was held at UNO's gorgeous campus and the graduation ceremony was one of the best I've ever attended! It was so fun to see so many doctors, dentists, physical therapists and medical technicians all in one room, so proud of all the hard work they put in over the past 4 years. It was such a neat experience and I'm so glad we were able to be a part of it. It's hard to see Natalee but she's in there.
The colors of each of their hoods corresponded very well to Mardi Gras colors.
There were plenty of golds, greens & purples that day.
After she got her diploma!
We spent the rest of the weekend in Baton Rouge taking it easy. We jogged the Beach Trail on LSU's campus, we laid by the pool, read some books, watched a movie and relaxed before Grayson started banking school. The weather couldn't have been better ... rain was expected, but we managed to stear clear of it for the majority of the weekend. I head back to Baton Rouge this weekend and hope to do more of the same!.
Since Grayson has been gone this week, I've tried to fill my time with productive projects. Ironically, I've done more socializing than projects, but that's okay. I never really wanted to do the projects in the first place, it was more a means to an end.

Well, the other night I decided to tackle the organization of our bathroom closet. It wasn't really that disorganized to begin with, but I hoped that it might take up an entire evening, giving me something to do for a few hours. Well, upon completion of this project (which, by the way, only took like 20 minutes. Not quite the lengthy ordeal I hoped it would be!) I thought I heard TC run out of the bathroom. She was quite the helper for the full 20 minutes; never leaving my side as I walked around organizing. So when she ran out, I was actually surprised and so I closed the bathroom closet doors and left to go find her. I searched and searched, but couldn't find her anywhere. Well, I decided to head back to the closet to review my "hard" work and wouldn't you know what I found? Check it out below ...
There she was tucked up all nice and cozy on our towels. She didn't make a sound when I closed the doors on her, she was just going to sit there in the dark closet, doors closed and all! It scared me a little bit when I discovered her, but ultimately I had to laugh at how funny it was that I was actually spending my evening organizing a bathroom closet while playing with our cat.
Irony at its finest.
.
You would have thought I was attacking her trying to get her out of this closet by the way she clawed and hissed at me. While she is cute, I am not okay with her being near our freshly washed towels, therefore I immediately had to remove her from our closet. I'm sure if it were up to her she would have had it a different way. Anyways, I hope to have a better, more interesting (less cat filled) post after my visit to Baton Rouge this weekend. I'm looking forward to a great Memorial Day weekend and hope you are too!

I was hoping I could find my way back to your blog! We loved having you at Bunco last night! Glad you could come! And so glad I got to meet you! Have a great weekend!
The organizing looks fabulous Ashley! Way to pull through to the finish line and defeat those little "only Meg could pull this off" thoughts. Megan taught us all well :).
