Well, we are all packed up (again) and ready for another 8 hour drive in the car tomorrow. We head out in the morning to go to New Orleans. It's bittersweet though because we have had so much fun while we've been in San Antonio. Among visiting with family, getting together with high school friends and eating lots of delicious food, we find ourselves not necessarily wanting to leave, but knowing that a wonderful vacation awaits us.
Thanksgiving was great, we spent the afternoon with my (Ashley's) family. There was no fried turkey this year, but everything we ate was perfect. Family, food and football composed most of the day's events. We were also able to get in some "Black Friday" shopping as well, which is always a bonus when you live an hour and a half away from a decent mall. The crowds weren't that bad and we found some relatively great deals. We were surprisingly disciplined when it came to sticking with our training schedule. We made another records in regards to our running again and are looking forward to continuing our training on the cruise.
Grayson was able to go hunting with my dad and brother and see how they do things a little bit differently here in Texas. We also made a last minute decision to have "Christmas" as a family on our last night together. We determined that it would be more fun to watch everyone open up gifts in person, rather than make a phone call on Christams day. It turned out to be so fun and such a great decision because it really made the holiday season feel like it is upon us. And so now we find ourselves packing up, once again, to get in the car, once again, to head to Louisiana. I am proud to say that we ate at Chipotle 3 times and Panera Bread once. Two favorite restaurants that we don't have in Louisiana! I hope to add pictures of the weekend spent in San Antonio, along with our make-shift Christmas. In the meantime, I hope everyone had a wonderful time with your family and will keep us updated as well. For now, Bon Voyage from our family to yours. Will check back in 2 weeks!

I'm surprised to see that you haven't mentioned the drunken hooligan next door that came crashing into your house at 2:00 am...
