"The Love Shack".

"The Homestead". "107 Cooper". "Grayson & Ashley' house". "The Hurricane House". etc ...

Our home goes by any and all of the above mentioned names and in an effort to let you into our lives even further, we thought we'd give a Grand Tour of our home. We hope to have many visitors come and see us in person, but in the meantime hopefully this will tide you over.

Our street sign.

A view of our house from the street. You can now see why it has been dubbed "The Hurricane House." It is made mostly out of cinderblock and so in the event of a hurricane, this is where you would go for shelter. It is a peaceful feeling knowing that our home is super strong and sturdy!

We love our pink crate mirdle (sp?) in the front. It adds great shade and extra color. It's one of our favorite trees in our yard.

A view from the back. One sweet thing I love about Louisiana are the hanging ferns. Even though we technically don't have a porch, we put these out every year. They are so "Southern" and I love them. This year we hope to make them last through the winter so we can pot them and put them on our front porch! We'll see if our black fingers can become green!

Here is my growing "garden", "patio", "porch" etc ... You can see our new swing/glider-thing. My co-worker was generous enough to lend us this in an attempt that we will fix it up. Grayson already power-washed it and all we have left is to sand and paint it. The benches are from my mom, they have TCU and Notre Dame emblems on them. We like to sit out here and grill etc ...
Our garage? I'm pretty sure this is supposed to be a sun-room with patio furniture, but somehow we have turned it into our top-floor garage. The work-out equipment, bike and my yoga mat reside here.
Coming in from the porch/garage. Please note the watermelon. There is a town really close to Jonesboro that is known for their delicious watermelons. This is one of the many fresh fruits that we have enjoyed this harvest season.
The dining room. We LOVE the wall of windows to the right. The couple who lived here before us were well-known for their amazing gardening skills. We benefit daily from their hard work. There is always something blooming right outside these windows. We love having people over for dinner in this room.
A closer look at this side of the kitchen. Washing dishes here is fun b/c you have a great view of the road below.
The other part of the kitchen.
A front view of the kitchen from the porch. The island is where Grayson and I normally eat.
Fireplace.
You can never have too many shelves!
The living room. Please note the amazing curtains and pillows made by my mom! She did an amazing job and we are loving every second of finally having them in our home. It definitely feels more homey and cozy, which is exactly what we were going for.
View from the back.
Master bedroom.
Bathroom. We love sharing one sink! And when I say we, what I really mean is I. I love to be close to Grayson, but sometimes I think maybe he would rather have a little more space. I'm enjoying this while I can.
Entrance to guest bedroom.
Guest (trundle) bed. This was actually Grayson's bed growing up.

More shelves!

Come stay soon!
