Apparently the month of April slipped away from me and I didn't blog anything! I've included pictures to summarize the happenings during the month of April ...
1. I attended the Southeastern Panhellenic Conference in Atlanta with these 13 lovely ladies. This is the group of young women that I have the pleasure of working with as Panhellenic Advisor. We had an awesome time in Atlanta; we listened to lots of speakers, we got a ton of great ideas to bring back to campus and we had fun shopping, eating and bonding. They make my job so easy, super fun and they help me to stay "trendy" which is a super plus!2. We conducted Gamma Chi interviews this month and chose the 12 women who will serve as mentors, counselors and guides to the 200 incoming women we expect during recruitment next fall. It is an honor to be chosen for this role as you have to disaffiliate from your chapter in order to guide the young women through the (sometimes) stressful week of recruitment. We've been meeting frequently to train them and get them ready for their role next fall! We're looking forward to doing a ropes course with both groups sometime soon.
3. We celebrated this cutie's 1st birthday. The morning of her party I was also able to help judge Tech's cheerleading tryouts again. It's so much fun to be a part of so many things that I loved when I was in college (cheering, sorority life, etc ...) My job is so fun sometimes!!! Anyways, we celebrated A's 1st birthday and had our induction into the world of little kid's parties. It was so much fun watching the organized chaos! Later that night we celebrated her momma's 30th birthday at Portico. We shut the place down which hasn't happened for us in a long time, proving just how much fun we had with the Costanza's and Wood's!
4. We celebrated Easter and the resurrection! Enough said.
5. Our book club went to watch Water for Elephants in the theatre. We read this book last summer and we all loved it so we decided to go together to watch the movie. We loved the movie and thought it did a pretty good job depicting what was in the book. We don't plan this, but it seems like many of the books we read in Book Club are being turned into movies lately. We read The Help and that's coming out this summer; there are two other books on our list that are currently being made into movies also. Needless to say, Book Club is a perfect excuse for us to get away and have numerous "girl nights".
6. Last, but definitely NOT least, I spent the majority of the month being obsessed with the Royal Wedding. I scoured almost every news site before the wedding to make sure I was up to speed and then, yes, I even woke up at 3am to watch the wedding LIVE! Some people thought I was crazy, but who cares? I was able to bounce around to various tv stations to capture the full story. I love that one day I'll be able to say that I woke up at 3am to watch. In regards to the whole event, I was not disappointed. I loved everything about it! KM seems super classy and I really feel like I can identify with her "fashion sense". I had so much fun watching the wedding, listening to the commentary on the fashion and the future life of Wills & Kate. That was definitely a highlight to end the month.
May is now upon us in FULL force! It's only May 4th and we've already: had church in the park, enjoyed getting together with our Supper Club, celebrated the end of the school year with my annual work dinner party, and met for Book Club! I'm looking forward to doing something fun for Cinco de Mayo, we celebrate my sister-in-law's graduation from college this weekend, we have the Panhellenic end of year dinner in a few weeks, the Bachelorette is going to start up soon and I'm planning to squeeze in a trip to San Antonio too ... phew!!! I'll try to take pics to document all the fun going on in our lives lately!!! And I'll try to be faster this time :)

I missed your blog last month, glad you did a recap. I had no idea you were so involved with the Greek system. Looks like a ton of fun- they are lucky to have you !
:) Sam
I certainly was not disappointed by the royal wedding. I know some found it all very silly, but I loved the pure romance, pageantry and the unfolding of history. love.
