Uh-Oh ... help!

I've rummaged all through the internet in an attempt to find a picture that does justice to the following story. Sadly, there is no picture that fully captures the story. I'll have to do my best to describe it to you and for a little background you can see the setting above.

Last week was crazy for me. I had something scheduled for every night of the week that was either social or work related. I love weeks like that b/c I love being social, but I also struggle to get all the rest I need which makes me feel exhausted on the weekends. Due to the numerous evening outings and my parents coming for a quick visit this weekend, I was spent come Sunday afternoon. The weather was perfect to sit outside and relax; we had worked in the yard briefly the day before so all of my flowers were beautifully blooming and I just found a new book to dive into (Karen Kingbury's newest in her recent series). So, I did what anyone else would have done, I decided to sit on my rear and do absolutely nothing!!!
I had it all planned out, I would get a nice beverage, get a light blanket to keep me warm and cuddle on our new porch swing while jumping into my new book. This lasted for about 5 minutes until there was a rather loud and frightening crash. Grayson, who was inside on the couch watching sports came running outside to check and see what happened and make sure I was okay. To his dismay, he found me flopped on the concrete, book strewn into the yard, blanket amiss, my hair flying around with the porch swing laying on top of me.
That's right friends, I managed to flip the porch swing on top of me. How? you ask. Apparently our porch swing was not made for "regular" swings; we didn't realize this until Sunday (obviously). While trying to get into the "perfect" position to read, I turned completely sideways and started leaning into the swing, only to have it capsize on top of me!!! After seeing that I was okay with only a minor bruise on my knee and ego, Grayson burst out laughing. I think the look of sheer horror and fear on my face when he first found me replayed in his mind and caused him to burst out laughing. I still haven't laughed!
We are now in the market for a new porch swing that was created for "real" swings. If you have any favorites, please send them our way b/c we are both currently terrified to swing after this little mishap!

Oh my...so glad it was only a bruise! Quite the adventure. Hope you still were able to dive into your book without too much pain.
