This is It!

Moving weekend is here! The U-Haul truck has been reserved, the garage sale has been scheduled, the bubble wrap has been bought and our house looks like a tornado of card board boxes ran it over.

We must officially be moving!

You know it's bad when we're both already saying that we never want to move again and we haven't even done it yet! Not to mention that Grayson reminds me daily that he wants to retire in this house!

Thanks to our great family & friends we believe this weekend should go as smoothly as possible. The goal is to start sleeping at our new house tomorrow night and be situated in it before we leave for Pittsburgh next week (well, that's more my goal than Grayson's). We'll see how close we get to actually reaching that goal.

I would like to take a second to brag on myself a little bit. For anyone who knows me barely at all, probably knows that I'm an A-type personality, wound pretty tight. I'm the type who doesn't like to start a project unless I can finish it and finish is perfect. Well, throughout this whole week I have actually been somewhat relaxed and okay spending only 1-2 hours a night packing, if at all! In my younger days I would have packed everything in two days and been tuckered out before moving day even arrived. I hope to carry this "non-chalant" attitude over into moving weekend. While it would be ideal to have everything moved in, decorated and ready to go by Sunday evening, I think the realist in me has come to grips with the fact that a house is not a dorm room and while this feat was possible in college, it might not be realistic (or healthy) this weekend. So YAY for me and being "relaxed".

It's going to be a fun adventure for us as we begin this new stage of life. I can't say when pictures will get posted, but I will do my best to document the weekend in an attempt to make it more enjoyable for all! See ya next week as a Ruston resident!
