One sure fire way to get sick.

Volunteer to man the "dunk booth" when it's 60 degrees outside!

I'm not sure it sounds good, but I think I would rather Grayson dress up like a girl to raise money for Relay for Life, rather than sit in a dunking booth for 1.5 hours while it is "freezing" cold outside. (60 degrees is freezing for us Northern Louisian-ans).

But that's what he did. Thankfully the local Kiwanis club, and a few other good men, helped raise money to donate to the American Cancer Society by hosting the dunking booth. Every October Jonesboro puts on the Sunshine Festival where local organizations and businesses come together to raise money for cancer awareness. It is such a fun event and something I look forward to each year. There is something different every year and the committee is so creative with the things they come up with to increase cancer awareness while fundraising.

The Kiwanis club has sponsored this booth each year and has had some fun doing it.
FACTOID: The song "You are My Sunshine" (my only sunshine) was written by a local Louisianan ... Jimmy Davis actually penned this now famous song. Thus the creation of our local and annual "Sunshine Festival".

Apparently it's reason enough for some peopel to do some crazy things like dress in drag and get dunked in frigid water!
Looking forward to whatever next year's festival holds in store for us!
