I finally got all of the pics from our New Orleans weekend trip. Since we all know about the drive down and the fun "sites" seen, I'll just jump into all the fun had while in NOLA. We started out by watching a really great Saints pre-season game. Due to our schedules this year, we won't be able to make it to as many games, so we were extremely thankful to watch their home opener.
We stayed at the Marriott on Canal which worked out perfectly since we only had one car, made it easy to walk places. Grayson and Sam did the guy thing and went golfing bright and early Saturday morning. Valerie and I did the girl thing and slept in! We walked over to the French Quarter and stood in a rather long line to eat some delicious beignets from Cafe du Monde. I splurged and got some delicious Cafe au Lait. Hands down one of my favorite places to order this drink.

Rewind
After breakfast, Val and I headed to the farmer/flea market to check stuff out. While there we ran across this great vendor who was selling coasters. He basically went around New Orleans capturing pictures that he then transferred to a coaster and glazed. Being the non-crafter that am, I was willing to purchase these as lovely gifts. Instead, Valerie convinced me we could do the same thing for way cheaper. So we headed off on a short adventure to capture what we thought would be cool pics. We headed straight for Jackson Square. The weather was perfect for walking around and people watching.
We thought this store front was really pretty. I love the balconies in NOLA, especially the ones with greenery like this one.
When we finally ran into the guys we decided to head to Pat O's for a tasty afternoon beverage. We got this great shot while enjoying the open patio and drinks.
At this point, our adventure ended somewhat so we decided to just enjoy walking around Bourbon Street. Here are me and G.
Val and Sam doing the same.
We ate a great lunch at The Coffee Pot.
It's right next door to Pat O's if you're interested.
They make a great eggs sardou.
