Baking & blossoming update!

Last night was the night-o-baking at our house. I was able to make 3 desserts, watch Grey's Anatomy and be in bed by 10:30pm. Not bad, huh? Well, no, not really because the recipe I used was fairly simple, thus the reason I chose it. It made for a fun, relaxing evening. On a side-note, I decided to catch everyone up on Ava our avocado plant. As a reference, here she was when she was just a wee-little pit.

And here she is today. Planted in a big girl pot, sprouting for all to see. I have two other pits going and they are doing equally well. I've had a certain neighbor express his interest in Ava and her growth so I wouldn't be surprised if she were to get dressed up in a pretty bow and move homes come Christmas time! It has been really fun and neat to see that this does really work!
