Rain rain, go away!

I know rain is a good thing, but the last few days it has been nothing but a torrential downpour around here. Being the new landscapers that we are, we weren't prepared to pull in our plants for the storm so we are quite nervous about whether or not the plants will be able to "weather" the storm (pun intended). Now that the rain is coming down like the flood there is no way we are heading into the rain to save our precious herbs and flowers, therefore we're simply hoping that the plants are sturdy enough for all this watery goodness.

On the flip side, one of the gorgeous trees outside of our dining room was leaning over at almost a 45 degree angle this morning, which makes us think we might need to trim it after this storm. There was also a baby bird nesting in the tree and so we (and really when I say we, I mean just Grayson) hopes the baby bird is okay. I'm alright either way.

The rain didn't stop the Crossroads team from playing their second game last night. Unfortunately, after a great rally in the 7th inning, we came up a little bit short for the win. The guys played great and I even nominated Thurston for MVP because he actually got to slide! There was a 3 hour window of no rain which allowed the team to play and have fun. After the softball game we headed over to 5th street where sadly the SPURS lost. Seems I now owe $1 to Chuck again. We are hoping for a comeback in San Antonio this week and a victory afterward at the Hornet's Nest. Thankfully, neither Grayson nor I are very competitive! haha ...
