The previous post occurred on a Saturday, this post occurred on a Sunday. Needless to say, Grayson and I were very productive people during this weekend. Don't ask what came over us, just enjoy the results, that's what we did.
Since my mom and grandmother are busy working on our curtains, we decided to do a little something extra in the living room to prepare for the beautiful new curtains. We took an old "entertainment center" my dad made for me to use during college and transformed it into (hopefully) something we can use for years to come. The plan is to hold onto this piece and use it in a playroom or funroom one day.
This is what the piece looked like before. Johnny P has great craftsmanship skills if you ask me.
Above is how it turned out after FOUR coats of tomato red paint were applied.
These are the swatches held up next to the wood. Grayson was very excited about how well the color turned out. He really enjoys when things match or coordinate perfectly and so it was a huge hit that the red we chose turned out to look as great as it does.
This is what the entertainment center looks like now. It looks kind of ... "artistic" right now because we have green walls and a red piece of furniture. Kind of feels like Christmas @ the Allen's, 24/7! Not really, it actually isn't that bad. Hopefully when the curtains and pillows arrive, the whole room will come together (finally)! Needless to say, we are very excited about the face lift our living room is about to experience. More photos to come when the room gets completed :)

I really am impressed! Especially about the red matching perfectly - that's nearly impossible to do! Your house is becoming such a home and I can't wait to see it in person - SOON! Love you!
