Vegas Vacation!

For mine and my sister-in-law's 26th birthdays, the Pedroza and Allen families decided to take our first family trip together. We chose Las Vegas as our first destination. We had a blast visiting the city and partaking in all that it offers. Before Grayson and I started heading off to Dallas to catch our flight it started snowing & sleeting in Ruston!!! Grayson couldn't even remember the last time Ruston had weather like that. At first we were nervous our flight would be cancelled, but luckily when we got to Dallas it was a gorgeous 70 degree weather day.

You can even see the snowflakes in my hair!

This is what the road conditions were like for at least half of our trip to DFW. It was wonderful; Grayson and I felt like we were driving in a completely different state. It was a beautiful winter wonderland.

We spent the first night in Vegas alone so we opted to stay off the strip at the Palace Station. On our way to the hotel our driver gave us a quick tour of the strip, the hotels and the "hot spots" we had to hit while we were in Vegas. Unfortunately, we were exhausted from traveling all day so we opted for a good nights rest instead of hitting up the slots right away!
Us on our first full day in Las Vegas! We are ready to win big in this picture!
We had to go see the M&M factory. They didn't offer free taste tests like we hoped, but it was still fun to see how they make those delicious little treats.
They made these cute bags completely out of candy wrappers.
We found lots of places in front of all the gorgeous hotels to take pictures. This one is right outside the Paris hotel. It's like we were really in France (but not really)!
Inside the Bellagio conservatory. All of the flowers were gorgeous. This was the "Year of the Rat" ... gross!

Erin got a shot w/ Nicholas Cage. It wasn't really him, just a great wax look-alike!

On our last night we decided to go downtown and visit the 4 Corners. While watching a great lightshow, Grayson spotted this lady. She looked like she was having a great time and was cracking us up, so Grayson decided he would jump in the middle of the street, grab her and then ask for a picture with her. She was definitely the best people watching we did all weekend. Talk about great free entertainment!

The last pic of our group after a weekend full of fun!

The weekend definitely revealed to us that "donating" money to the casinos isn't our idea of having a "fun" time, rather spending quality time w/ family making fun memories definitely is!
